Apple Launches Guided Tours for iMovie and GarageBand for iPad

GarageBand Guided Tour

Apple has a track record of making excellent guided tour videos that show not just the features of their new products, but also the experience of using them; they make you want to buy the thing even if you already own it, and theyve just added tours for Garage Band and iMovie.

These two new guided tours (along with all of the other iPad tours) are available by clicking here. We recommend you take a look even if youre already definitely planning on getting either piece of software when theyre made available on March 11, because of how nice they are. After watching both of these, Im significantly more interested in upgrading to the iPad 2.

As a special bonus, there’s a new FaceTime guided tour video, and it does the impossible: it makes FaceTime look even cooler, like it’s a full-sized picture frame on special moments. I know lots of people thought that not having a camera on the iPad made more sense, but after looking at the FaceTime video, how can anyone say it doesn’t look better on the 10′ screen than on the 3.5′?

GarageBand and iMovie will both be available for $4.99 on the iTunes store starting March 11, 2011.
